The deployment of the Coco Reef Domes

2024's goal was to move forward and deploy larger structures providing more shelter for ocean life.  It was achieved through hard work and many dives.

Through experimentation with rebar, bamboo and finally coconut fibers we have strengthened the concrete and allowed it to be molded by hand and to be kept to a manageable weight.

The domes and bottle reefs coming together

These are the bottle reefs that were sitting flat on the ocean floor at 65' for over a year.  The flat bottle reefs had not gathered as much life as the bottle reefs that were put into A-frames so we moved them to sit against this years additions, the Coco Reef Domes.  This video is about one month later and the life seems to be spreading and growing exponentially.
